DO NOT MISS YOUR PROFILE!

Dating apps, whether on computers or smartphones, are becoming more and more popular in the gay community, and it’s in the thousands that young and mature men converge to meet people find the soulmate there. However, it makes sense for users to judge the person only according to the content of the profile, and this is normal! We live in a LASER consumer society and it is at the same speed that people make an opinion, despite a reality that could be quite different.

How to avoid the pitfalls of a failed profile, which scares away guys rather than arousing their interest? Here are some basic things to keep your profile out of the monotony …

1- Everything goes first through the eyes. The main picture of your profile is the first thing others will see. It is therefore necessary to take special care because the non-verbal language is as important, if not more so, than the text that will follow at the bottom of your photo. How many times have you said that the picture is good but that the guy would have done better not to put too much since some are downright missed or downright vulgar? It is therefore better to put only one picture or a maximum of 2, but they will have to represent you very exactly and the message you want to convey. A shirtless picture is acceptable if it is a positive asset at home but, definitely, a smiling face in health will give a good result. In the same vein, underexposed, pixelated or too small photos will not interest people so apply to use a photo quality and artistic. We are in 2017 anyway!

2- Choose a realistic and representative profile name. If for you, Antoine22 probably means that the guy is 22, imagine if the user clicks on this profile and falls on that of a 55-year-old man, he will feel cheated and manipulated. Be realistic and honest!

3- Your textual presentation should be short and straight to the point. The very long profiles are interpreted as those of troubled people … A paragraph that introduces you, describes you and explains what you are looking for will be perfect. It is in the private conversation that you will be able to develop.

4- Avoid the exclusion of anyone or anything that is racist or discriminatory. If you do not like a minority or certain skin colors, simply do not respond to these people. Always stay positive in your text, it will be reflected in the number of respondents.

5- Fill in all the questions in the summary of your profile, this is where most visitors begin to read.

6- Feel free to change your photo and always put new ones. Profiles that have the same photos for 15 years do not interest anyone!

7- Prepare a small folder of additional positive photos to send on request. Refer to point 1.

8- Finally, be original and creative in your first messages. Cuckoo, Hey or Hot usually receive few answers.
