HIV: A HEALTH CENTER THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

VROY Communications

With the support of Gilead, Le Dispensaire focuses on providing holistic, patient-centered care and well-being, a self-determination approach that encourages collaboration between healthcare professionals and patients to establish the goals and objectives of care.

Dr. Jean Robert, specialist in infectious microbiology at Le Dispensaire, was able to see firsthand the impact that such an approach can have on the life of a patient, often faced with stigma and societal barriers that leave him alone and vulnerable. .

The importance of this holistic approach to patient-centred care was recognized by Gilead who sought to collaborate with clinics in Canada that were on the front lines of the HIV epidemic and could provide the care that people living with HIV really needed.

World AIDS Day is a time to remember those we have lost to the virus and the frontline heroes who are working tirelessly to end the HIV epidemic.

Beyond the science, Gilead is working with Dr. Robert to help address the root causes of the HIV epidemic. Gilead believes that everyone living with HIV, and those at risk of infection, should benefit from the latest scientific innovations and have access to medicines. Together, we can end the HIV epidemic for everyone, everywhere.

Le Dispensaire was chosen for Gilead’s Together campaign (which works with HIV leaders around the world, in the Philippines, USA, Argentina, etc.)
