Hzone, a new dating app for HIV-positive lovers, is taking steps to curb the spread of AIDS by imploring its members to always have safe sex.

The largest dating app of its kind with nearly 60,000 members, Hzone is offering a discount of $24.95 for members, and prospective members, who pledge to totally avoid unprotected sex. All that is required is a photo of a handwritten sign that reads
« I promise no unprotected sex! »

The photo can be uploaded through the Hzone App. Once the application is approved, a $24.95 discount will be applied to the applicant’s account. So far, about 4,000 Hzone members have taken advantage of this offer, and the numbers are increasing every day.

« As one of the largest communities for people living with HIV, Hzone has the responsibility to help the world stop HIV, » said Justin Robert, CEO of Hzone. « According to our recent survey, 88 percent of Hzone members are gay. And 95 percent of these members got HIV because of unprotected sex. »

Matching HIV-positive singles

The impetus behind the creation of Hzone is recognizing the right of HIV-positive men and women to enjoy full lives and experience enjoyable sexual relationships. A location-based algorithm in the Hzone app helps HIV-positive singles meet similar people.

« We do protect your privacy and won’t show your exact location, but you will have the chance to find your types who are near to you, » explained Robert. « There’s no reason why HIV-positives can’t date and enjoy life like everyone else.

« We’re helping to make it real and simpler. « We created Hzone to help people living with HIV find love again. »

For those who want a quick hookup without a lot of strings attached, Hzone offers its QuickMatch game, which matches up area singles in a matter of minutes.

« This is an easy way to break the ice and start dating again even though you are living with HIV, » said Robert.

Running this type of dating service comes with an important responsibility. Hzone is clearly committed to reducing, and hopefully eliminating the spread of AIDS.

« AIDS is one of the world’s most serious diseases and stopping it is a very critical issue, » said Robert. « Taking the necessary steps to protect you and your sex partner is considered to be the most effective way to stop AIDS. That’s why we’re advocating this to our members. »
