It is with great pleasure and interest that GayGlobe attended, this Tuesday, June 2, at the Théâtre National, in the Village, the press conference presenting the program of the Montreal Pride Festival 2026:

An exceptional program for Montreal Pride 2026

Celebrating its 20th edition from July 31 to August 9, 2026, with a program highlighting local talent and the diversity of the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, the event aims to bring together a wide audience around festive, inclusive, and engaged celebrations.

The Village of Montreal will be at the heart of the festivities for ten days. More than 150 Quebec artists will present a wide range of performances, from drag to music, including comedy, cabaret, reimagined folklore, burlesque, and dance nights. The Loto-Québec Stage will host themed events every evening designed to showcase the creativity and diversity of artists from the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

The Jardins Gamelin will also host several cultural events, while the Marché Arc-en-ciel will return after the success of its first edition in 2025. This space will feature entrepreneurs, artists, artisans, and designers from the LGBTQIA+ communities, promoting the discovery of local creativity and craftsmanship.

Among the major events are also the Community Days, on August 7 and 8, bringing together more than 100 organizations, businesses, and sociocultural groups on Sainte-Catherine Street East. These days will offer the public an opportunity to discover the richness of the LGBTQIA+ community fabric and the initiatives shaping its future.

The Esplanade of the Olympic Park will host three major outdoor evenings on the TD Stage, in partnership with Loto-Québec. The traditional 100% Drag Night, on August 7, will be followed the next day by the 20th anniversary grand show, conceived as a celebration of LGBTQIA+ artists and collectives. The festival will conclude on August 9 with the popular Mega T-Dance.

The indoor program will also feature several landmark events, including Lumière des Nations, celebrating Indigenous and Two-Spirit communities, as well as various artistic, festive, and comedy nights presented in iconic venues such as the Théâtre Le National, Club Soda, and the SAT.

The Pride Parade, the highlight of the festival

The highlight of the festival, the Pride Parade, will take place on August 9 under the theme “Shine Together.” Bringing together tens of thousands of participants, it is intended as both a festive celebration and a powerful symbol of visibility, inclusion, and solidarity. Finally, Fierté Montréal will use this edition to support 21 community projects across Quebec, reaffirming its commitment to the visibility and development of the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

A beautiful symbol of shared pride, this engaged and inspiring festival reinvents itself after a challenging period under the leadership of Higino Monteiro, who is deeply committed to his mandate. We wish everyone a wonderful time during this major highlight of the summer!
