For several months, and especially since the outbreak of war against Ukraine, we have been experiencing a staggering number of cyberattacks that average more than 20 per day.
Obviously, it is useless to try to control these attacks or to seek their origin, hackers know how to make themselves invisible and that would be a monumental waste of time. However, thanks to our state-of-the-art technical team, so far Gay Globe has been spared any consequences, our site and our emails are protected by several layers of security that make life difficult for those who want to harm us.
What exactly is a cyberattack? According to the large terminological dictionary of the Office québécois de la langue française, « Coordinated set of malicious actions carried out through cyberspace, which aim to damage, force or divert a computer network or system in order to commit a harmful act.
A cyberattack may notably have the objective of stealing sensitive information, spying on a person or organization, or even damaging a system or altering its normal operation. A cyberattack can notably target computers or servers, isolated or networked, peripheral equipment and mobile devices. »
In our case, after three attempts to enter a bad password, the IP address is blocked for a few days, automatically, and this in addition to false boxes to be filled in to counter robots and other mechanisms that I will not disclose. not here.
These attacks demonstrate the importance of putting in place a series of layers of protection, decoys and anti-virus and other software that together allow all attempts to be foiled, without ever having to physically intervene. We receive a real-time report by email for each attempt and that’s enough!
