A gardener, whom the Canadian police described as “a serial killer,” is accused in Toronto of killing at least five homosexual men in recent years.

Bruce McCarthyr, aged 66, was arrested in mid-January as part of an investigation into the disappearance of two men in April and June 2017. He was prosecuted a few days ago and today the police revealed that the remains of three other men were found in garden of a house that Macarthur used as a storage place

“Bruce McCarthy is considered suspicious of the five killings” and was referred to justice, said Hank Inchingga, the head of research, at a press conference he gave. “He is a murderer who has taken measures to cover his traces,” he added, adding that there may be other victims who have not yet been found.

The families of four of the five men had declared their disappearance. Surveys will be broadened to include all disappearances from 2010 onwards of homosexual men in the largest city of Canada.

Most of the victims were from Middle Eastern countries and were 40-50-year-old. At least one had a relationship with Macarthur.

Due to his profession the 66-year-old had access to many gardens where he could have buried his victims. Police officers have identified about 30 gardens or properties in different areas of the city and want to investigate because they suspect that other victims may be found there. “We believe there are more (victims), but I have no idea how many,” Inchingga added.
